Driver software is a program that make connection between hardware ( Cd Rom,VGA Card,Network Card) and operating system (windows 7,windows 8, Linux - Ubuntu ,fedora)
A driver acts like a translator between the device and operating system .Each device has its own set of specialized commands that only its driver software knows
